Loop stitches

I want to crochet a sheep. The belly and head are supposed to be crocheted using loop stitches. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but nothing’s working. I don’t even know what I’m doing wrong. Can anyone give me a tip on how to do it right or how else to make the body fluffy?! I’d really appreciate any help.

Or you could also knot the fleece in. That’s what I did with my sheep, too.
That also makes it nice and fluffy.
