Yarn for a summer scarf or stole and a technique that keeps its shape

Hi,
I’d like to crochet a nice summer scarf or stole. My question is: what kind of yarn is best for warm summer evenings, and what pattern would work well? I want the scarf or stole to be light and airy, but also to hold its shape well and not stretch out.

Hello Sundown,

In my opinion, a cotton yarn, cotton ribbon yarn, or a cotton blend (cotton/viscose) would be suitable for a summer scarf or stole. These also hold their shape quite well.
