Hi, is a wool needle the same as a darning needle, or is it something different?

Hi Hamster,
a yarn needle doesn’t have a point, so it won’t snag in the yarn,
and a darning needle does have a point.
I usually just use whatever I have on hand.

Hi Hamster,
a wool needle is also called a threading needle. It has an extremely large eye and a blunt tip. A darning needle also has a blunt tip and probably got its name back when people still darned holes in stockings.
