Chunky knit

What exactly is chunky knit, and what can you do with it? Thanks for your answers.

As far as I know, you can make lots of pretty things using chunky knitting.
Storage baskets, for example, also with a clothesline knitted in or some other form of reinforcement.
But you can also use it to make pleasantly warm clothing. Of course, that’s more for the colder months, and it’s not exactly “delicate” or elegant. So I think the name just comes from the fact that the stitches are rather large or coarse, and thicker yarn is used. But I assume the pros here on the forum who know more about it will also comment on it.

Chunky knit is cool in its own way.... as the name suggests, it’s chunky and big :-)

anyway—it’ll be T-shirt season : ) Well, actually, maybe for cool summer evenings—a chunky-knit jacket or cardigan, as they’re called these days, might be pretty nice. Or maybe for rainy days. And then, of course, for fall again : )
