Making bead animals

Hi everyone,
I saw a book yesterday at the city library about making beaded animals.
Basically, you thread fine wire through plastic beads to create colorful decorations or even little birds. I couldn’t take the book home with me because I’d once again maxed out my library account and had already checked out the maximum number of items allowed. So I’m asking you guys for help. If none of you can help, I’ll probably have to go back to the library and get the book after all.

So, I’m assuming you’ll need thin wire from a craft store
and those plastic beads, a good template, and maybe a base to attach the bird to—or a small stick to place it on so you can put it in a vase, for example. I mean the stick in the vase. It would definitely look nice if you surrounded the bird—or rather, the stick—with pretty seasonal flowers.

Does anyone here make something like this and want to share their thoughts?

but I’ve never tried anything like that before.

Unfortunately no, I once made flowers and stars.
I have a little booklet for animals from a bookstore that sold used books, but I haven’t tried anything yet.
