I need your creative help.....

Good morning, everyone!

I need your creative help.

My youngest has a birthday in early April.
I’d like to crochet some invitations—or rather, a wrapper for the invitations.

I don’t want to start an advertising thread here; I just want to gather some ideas
.

I was thinking maybe a crocheted Kinder Surprise egg or something like that.
What do you think, or what ideas do you have?

I’d love to hear any ideas.

Hugs, Heike

I think the idea with the crocheted Ü-Eier is great! You could crochet little animals and give each child a different one. Or you could crochet something to match the theme, if you have one. (By the way, this also works really well as a party favor).
Finger puppets are another option. You can then slip the invitations into the finger sleeves.
Or you could crochet appliqués and glue them onto a piece of cardboard to make invitation cards.
I also think crocheted picture frames are really cute.
I suppose it depends a bit on the kids’ ages as to what they’ll like best. Maybe you could let your daughter decide?
In any case, I hope you all have a lot of fun!

Or you could crochet little pouches to hold the invitation split into puzzle pieces (there are blank puzzles or puzzle-piece punches, after all)!

Or you could crochet around toilet paper rolls to make "party crackers" and put the rolled-up invitation inside.

My goodness, you guys are so creative. I just have to say that. Such great ideas! Unfortunately, I can’t think of anything else right now either.

Thank you so much for your great ideas, but somehow the
perfect idea still wasn’t among them.

As party favors, I’m crocheting egg cups and putting an
Ü-Ei inside each one.

Wow, it’s never been this hard before. Somehow I’ve
ALWAYS had an idea, but this time *scratching my head*

Well, I think I’d make keychains :)
You can pick any pattern for something with a little pocket for a shopping cart token or something like that, and then roll up a piece of paper with the invitation on it and put that in instead.

Either a different animal for each child, or the same one for everyone in a different color, or or or...
Then everyone has something unique that they can actually use :)

Alternatively, matchboxes come to mind.
I once did that as a child with my mom, putting the invitations in a matchbox.
We just “decorated” them, but I’m sure you could also crochet a cover for them :) (And then you can embroider “Invitation” on it.)

Otherwise, maybe little pouches with the invitation inside. Kind of like little St. Nicholas bags, just in a spring design :)

...Oh, the little bags have already been mentioned! Oops. Sorry, Nina—I didn’t mean to steal anyone’s idea ;-)

Or you could crochet envelopes directly—they can then be reused by the children (or parents) as well (for family letters, Mother’s Day letters, etc.)

Hi, what age group are we talking about here?

Why not crochet little picture frames and put the invitation inside instead of a picture? Then they can use them later for their favorite photo.

Hello,

my daughter is turning 9. The kids who are invited are all between 7 and 9 years old.

I already used envelopes last year. But thanks for the suggestion.
A picture frame sounds good. Let’s see if and how I can make that work.

Best, Heike

Heike, you could also simply roll up the invitation and crochet a bow or ribbon to go around it. A bookmark, for example, could be reused afterward. Something like that is always useful.

That’s THE idea.

A bookmark. Great, mowi19.

Thank you so, so much.

Yippeeeeeeeeeee, I’m going to make that.

Oh, wow, Heike, I’m so glad I was able to give you that brilliant idea.
It just popped into my head a little while ago.

Have fun crocheting the bookmarks! :-)
