Today is parent-teacher conference day at my little one’s school, and then she has a reading night and gets to stay there overnight. My older one has already staked a claim on the TV—he wants to take advantage of the fact that, for once, he doesn’t have to be considerate of her when choosing what to watch.
We don’t have anything planned for tomorrow, which usually means we’ll be getting the house in order.
On Sunday, we want to go ice skating—hopefully all four of us, though my husband has a sore throat and is having trouble breathing. If he doesn’t feel better, he’ll stay home and rest.
And then, of course, we’ll be making Christmas gifts. My friend ordered some crochet-covered candle holders—she doesn’t care about the color, as long as they have lots of glitter.
my older daughter is going to a kids’ birthday party at the pool today,
and my younger daughter is going to a kids’ birthday party at an indoor playground tomorrow.
Other than that, we’ll be doing some shopping, and then it’ll be a quiet,
laid-back weekend where I hope to do a lot of crocheting.
Hi Josefa,
tomorrow we’re celebrating my son Marcel’s 15th birthday… of course with delicious food and a delicious cake ;-) … and lots of fun moments… and that’s when I realize once again how quickly time flies
Tomorrow, Saturday, I’ll start by shopping at the market and the supermarket—the weather’s supposed to turn bad, so I’ll be working on the Christmas gifts. On Sunday evening, we’ll help out at the cemetery, lighting a candle at each grave, and then there’ll be a memorial service at the church. Other than that: the Christmas gifts are waiting!
I don’t really have any plans...
Maybe someone will come over for coffee tomorrow, but otherwise I’m still completely open to anything :)
Maybe my new yarn cakes will arrive tomorrow, and then I’ll have to be careful not to start them all right away... :D
Oh, and I actually wanted to hang up some lamps this weekend... But I already know how that will end... Everything else will be more exciting :D
Hello,
I've been in the hospital since Thursday with mastitis. Today the fever has finally gone down at last. But I still don't feel really well yet. So the weekend isn't that great. But luckily I was able to take Anton with me. There really wouldn't have been any other way.
Arni, I sincerely wish you a quick and full recovery, and all the very best in everything else as well! Keep your chin up—it’ll all work out! And despite everything, have lots of fun with your Anton.
Other than that, I’m really bored. I’m still not allowed to do any crafts—or use the computer, for that matter.
After all those pills, I’m now on pain drops. At least they help for a little while.
The MRI showed what I don’t
have. That’s something, at least...
With a lot of luck, I got a physical therapy appointment for tomorrow and hope they can get my arm back in shape there.
All that yarn (with the wish list) has been giving me such a reproachful look for weeks [image removed]
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday.
Best regards, Marlies
To you, dear Marlies, I’m keeping my fingers crossed and wish you a speedy recovery—may your pain go away soon so your yarn doesn’t have to give you that reproachful look anymore!
Our little one had a handball game scheduled, and since I can’t wear shoes because of my foot surgery, I’m staying in, revising my patterns and photos, and helping my son study for his tests...
And just like that, the weekend is over.
