Hi Josefa,
how about a post-Christmas project called “Work Through the Wish List”? I think a lot of us have such long wish lists that we’ve completely lost track of them. After Christmas (when many of us will have received new yarn), wouldn’t that be a great time to really work through these lists? And everything goes better when we do it together!
Ruth
That’s a great idea.
I’d love to join in. However, I have a similar problem to Krea_Tina—my list is very long, and I’m constantly coming up with new things I want to make. So it just keeps getting longer. But why not? I’ll join in anyway.
Sounds great. I’d definitely join in—after all, my list is a mile long too, and it just doesn’t seem to get any shorter.
Can we crochet anything from our wish lists? Is there a deadline by which the “project” has to be finished?
My wish list isn’t that long yet, but I’m still in…
Maybe Josefa could “help” us choose—she could name a number, and we could look at our lists and get started… Then it won’t be so hard to decide ;-)
I’d love to join in, too.
I’d be happy if this project lasted a little longer
(2–3 weeks), because my wish list is soooooo
long and it includes some bigger projects that can’t be finished so quickly
.
Oh yeah, maybe then I’ll finally get around to that summer sweater I’ve been wanting to make for ages. I always prioritize other people’s projects and end up putting mine on the back burner.
That would be the perfect opportunity to finally dig out my own project.
How about a 4–6-week timeframe—starting around the end of January and running through the end of February or mid-March? Then you might even be able to finish a few pretty Valentine’s Day patterns or start preparing Easter decorations: Sunday, April 1, Easter 2018 (Germany)
In mid-January, we could have a “WIP Week” or a “Leftover Yarn Week” before we tackle the wish lists.
Can I help with the selection?
:-)
For example: If I were to say, “Work on the 20th pattern on your wish list,” would you do that?
I’m not entirely sure.
There might be a pattern in there that doesn’t particularly appeal to that user right now.
Oh yes, that sounds great. That all sounds great. I’ll try to join in everywhere.
Mid-January is tough for me because of work—we’re always busiest until mid-February. But I can always find a little UFO to work on.
My actual wish list isn’t long enough that I’d get to pattern 20. I could use my daughter’s list instead—I think hers is endless.....
That sounds great, especially since it doesn’t start until the end of January. I’d be happy to join in then. By then, though, I’m afraid the wish list will have grown even longer. ;-)
In any case, it’s fun and exciting - and it encourages you to stick with it and keep going, just in keeping with the new motto. :-)
