Snap—Needle Tip Broke Off

Hi everyone,

yesterday the tip of my needle broke off right above the metal part that’s used to screw the needle onto the rope.

Now I can’t even unscrew the metal piece to attach a different needle tip.

Unfortunately, I’m working on my longest rope, and switching to a shorter one isn’t really an option.
How can I solve this problem?

Ouch, that’s frustrating.
Could you maybe try unscrewing the metal piece with a small pair of pliers?
If your needle tip was from KnitPro—I’ve heard they’ll replace it without any hassle.

Yeah, it was a Knitpro needle tip.

I’ll try using a pair of pliers, Michaela.

Using pliers worked.

Great—at least you can keep going with a different needle tip.
And as for the broken tip, I’d suggest contacting KnitPro.
