I found my way here via Facebook—anyone else?

I found the Crazypatterns page on Facebook a while back and then stumbled upon this forum. Am I the only one, or does this happen to others too?

I just saw the website in an ad somewhere—on a blog, I think—and the name caught my eye

I stumbled in here the same way, but I think it’s pretty nice here
it’s a bit quiet at the moment, but I’m sure that’ll improve soon.

Yeah, I found this place through Facebook, too. Right now, everything still seems a little confusing to me, but I’m trying to figure it out little by little. I just uploaded my first pattern—but now I guess I have to wait for someone to approve it, right? And why do I have to upload three image files at once, and pack two of them into a zip archive first? These are hurdles that could discourage some people from selling here. In any case, I know a lot of people who don’t know how or what to use to create a zip archive. Oh well, we’ll see...

The following files must be uploaded:
1x image file (thumbnail - displayed everywhere on the marketplace)
1x zip with gallery images (the images are displayed on the product page and on the gallery page)
1x zip with main file (the pattern).

Just a naive question
I know how to open ZIP files after downloading them,
but I don’t know how to create ZIP files.

Is that the function you use when you right-click a file on your PC and then select “Add to Archive”?

On my "Windows 7" system, I select the files or folders I want to add to the archive, right-click, and then choose "Send to -> ZIP-Compressed Folder" from the menu. This creates a new file with the ".zip" extension.

I also found my way here via Facebook. I’m looking for an online knitting group, a sewing circle, and things like that.
Facebook isn’t really the right place for that. So I ended up on this platform and saw that you have a forum, more by accident, actually. It’s only shown in small print at the top right. But now I’m here.

You start a thread, don’t check back for a few weeks, and then you actually find a few replies :)
Nice :) It’s still pretty quiet around here, but it seems to me that a kind of “hangout” community is slowly but steadily developing. It makes sense, too—there’s actually a lot to say about “our” topic. It’s not something that can be fully discussed in just three threads.
I’d love it if more people came over from Facebook and joined in here.
