Dear users, dear authors,
what’s on your needles? What are your scissors working on?
Let me know. :-)

Hi,

I started a new sweater for myself last night, and I’m
still working on the sleigh for my reindeer.

This morning I worked on two rows of the sweater, and for tonight
I plan to continue working on the sleigh.
My daughters ask me every day when the sleigh
will finally be finished.

Best wishes, Heike

Hi Josefa,

I’m currently working on some kids’ hats using leftover yarn. I finished the last one yesterday. Today I started a new one that I’d love to show you.

Best wishes, Marion

I’m still crocheting my baby blanket. It’s getting bigger and bigger, but I think it’ll take me a little longer yet.

This morning on the train, I crocheted a rose-shaped exfoliating bath sponge. Tonight (after a pretty demanding day), I’d like to make a finger puppet ghost for the two Halloween fans (which will help me use up my yarn stash again!)
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Josefa for the great ideas and the little crowns!

Hi,

I started crocheting a scarf/loop from my Crazy Zauberball yarn last night. Since this morning, I’ve been able to work on it a few rows at a time. It’ll turn out fine ;-)

I’m trying out a new pattern right now—knit, rip it out, look for
different yarn, knit again, don’t like it at all—try different yarn, knit, rip
it out. I hope it still turns out okay; if not, I’ll keep trying tomorrow,
and I’ll keep knitting a scarf to relax.

Hi Josefa,

I’ve finished my next hat. Then I’ll probably rummage through my yarn scraps and knit some more.

Best, Marion

I’m just playing around with a few crochet stitches right now, but I’m not quite sure yet what this is even supposed to be. For some reason, crocheting is easier than knitting when I have lumbago :-)

I've started my tablecloth for the third time.

I hope it finally works out now—I have a 4,000 m cake to use up.

Today I continued crocheting my amigurumi using one of my new craft books (it was part of my birthday gifts)

The book in question (in English) is Edward’s Crochet - Doll Emporium by Kerry Lord (new edition, Oct. 2017)

It’s really fun, but now I need a little break.

Today I’ve just been doing crafts; I’ll get to knitting (still working on my knee warmers) later, in bed. With my crafts, I’m now fully in the Christmas spirit—I still have some gift wrapping to do and a few Christmas tree ornaments to make. For one of the designs, I want to try some bolder color combinations—steering clear of the classic red and gold—and I’m curious to see how it turns out :-).

I’ve been experimenting and then discarding my ideas for a few days now… haha, I love it.
Today I’m dyeing some spinning fibers. On Sunday, I’ll be at a small market with my spinning wheel and hand spindle. I’d like to have some colorful items in my basket to show off and let people try out. Please wish us dry weather! :-)
Best regards, Caro

Bastelfan, I just looked up the book you mentioned... those are such awesome little guys!
The punk with tattoos... wonderful. Crocheting these fiddly little dolls isn’t really my thing, but sometimes my fingers just itch to try. Maybe, someday...

Iglinz, get well soon! Lumbago is awful.

Thanks for the get-well wishes! I’m slowly getting better again, but sitting is really awful :-( And knitting while lying down or walking doesn’t work very well.

Have you tried using a standing desk? If necessary, you could always turn a chest of drawers of the right height into a standing desk.

Hmm, standing isn’t great either. The best thing is to walk and move around—it doesn’t hurt at all that way. I went for a long walk today, too. Like a little fawn :-)
