Tell me, how are your projects coming along? Did you get a lot of work done over
the weekend?
I’ll start.
I started a new project on Friday—Konrad the Pumpkin.
I finished my sweater on Thursday.
My reindeer is still waiting for his sleigh. But then Konrad got
in the way.
All in all, I’m very happy with how things are going.
yesterday I had a battle with a gradient yarn cake. Unfortunately, it came undone on me (and it was entirely my own fault), and by the time I had it back in a state where I could keep working with it, I had lost my nerve 3 times.
But by the evening I was able to keep going with it again.
On Saturday I finished the deer for my daughter, which she wants to give to her friend for her birthday. We just don't like the eyes yet. I need to make something new there, but I still have time until Friday anyway.
And otherwise I can only agree with you. Very happy with everything.
If only you could all see my living room.... Oh my!
Every available spot is filled with “ideas” and projects—little piles of yarn, along with little scraps of paper featuring a sketch of what I’m planning to make or even the printed pattern.
It’s terrible! I think I should walk through the world with my eyes closed—I get new ideas at every turn! But unfortunately, there’s never enough time to actually make all of them.
Here’s a small selection of my current works in progress, all of which are about 60–90% finished:
1 pair of slipper socks (1 1/2 socks are done),
1 baby hat,
1 book cover,
small keychains,
1 soul warmer,
another kids’ hat,
a reindeer with a sleigh (but for this one I only have the pattern and the yarn so far),
1 Christmas figurine (the presents are still missing here),
an autumn figurine (I’m probably a little late with this one, aren’t I?),
1 hot water bottle cover
.....
And then this weekend I had another idea for all the craft felt I had left over from the Advent calendar.... that’s why all of that is still lying around here, along with ribbon, beads, sequins, and so much more! ;-)
I’m in the garden at the moment too. In the evenings, then I work on my projects, if my hands can still grip anything by then *haha*
Pruning shrubs isn’t exactly fun.
I’ve got 2 sweaters on the go, and my loop scarf only needs 3–4 more rounds, then it’ll be finished. My head is about to burst with ideas — let’s see what can actually become reality
