Wollkaiserin Project – To All Participants

Hi everyone,

just wanted to check in and see how the Wool Empress Project is going for you all.

Things are actually going pretty well for me.

I’ve already used up quite a bit of yarn. My sweater is taking shape, and
my reindeer’s sleigh is still waiting to be crocheted. I’m
dragging my feet a bit because it’s such fiddly work.

Dear Heike,

I’m in the middle of working on the back panel of the seat cover. That’s the last piece—then I just have to sew the back panel onto the seat, and I’m done. So I should easily have it finished by next week.

It’ll be fine, Heike. You’ve got this. There’s still some time left until October 23.

I’m also reducing my stash every day… Sweater done, shrug done, socks done, hood and pockets for the jacket done, two budgies done, new sweater on the needles, but I won’t finish it by the 23rd.
My husband has already noticed the reduced amount of yarn…

Unfortunately, I’ll have to keep crocheting for
months WITHOUT buying any new yarn until my husband notices how much I’ve used up.
I have tons of yarn. I was just up in the attic looking for
something, and what did I find?
That’s right: YARN—two boxes full. I didn’t even remember I
still had it.
