Hi,
Can someone explain to me how to make a granny square with an owl like this?

Thank you!
Best regards, Biene.

Hello Bienchen98
I’m removing the image you included in your post, because only images that belong to you may be uploaded here.
But I found a pattern for the image ; unfortunately, it’s in English.
Scroll down a bit to get to the pattern.

There are also owl squares on CP, even with a German pattern.
Here you can find an overview of all the granny squares with an owl on them that are available on CP
I hope there’s something there for you.
Greetings from Mod Josefa

Hi Josefa,

I have a question. How do you handle small images? Are they no longer allowed to be posted in the forum at all? How did Facebook handle this, for example?

Best regards, Karo

Hi Karo, I spoke with Alexander about copyright for small images.
So here are the rules: Small images/thumbnails can be uploaded, but large and high-resolution images cannot.

So, just a quick question
: you crochet a lot of these granny squares so you can then join them together to make a blanket or something.
And you can use different crochet techniques—
I mean, the technique itself doesn’t matter, as long as it’s square, right?
Sorry for the naive, silly question, but who came up with the idea in the first place? Someone must have invented it at some point, right?
What kinds of techniques can you use for the squares?
I mean, in principle, you could also knit or knook squares, or even sew them.
Well, maybe not sew—because then it wouldn’t be a granny square anymore, but patchwork.
Is it still called a granny square if you knit or knook it?
Could you maybe give me some info on that? Or I think I’ll browse the internet tomorrow and gather some info.

I think you can do it however you want. The main thing is that they’re squares that, when joined together, form a new image. (Something like this, for example: http://www.wichtelcouture.de/product/granny-square-hakelkissen-mit-eulen/)
