Ice, Frost, and Snow: Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride + Unicorn

Dear users, dear authors,
imagine it were the depths of winter, with spring and summer far, far away, and instead ice and snow everywhere, plus frosty temperatures. To make the whole thing a little more entertaining, I’ve ordered a few horse-drawn sleighs for a little tour. Afterward there will be mulled wine, Jagertee, and of course lots of good food. It’s going to be great. :- )
What do we need for the tour?
Let me know.

Mod insider tip: I even managed to get hold of a real unicorn, but unfortunately only one. All the other “unicorns” are horses or ponies with a horn glued on and a bit of painting. They’re all totally sweet and cute, so you can hardly tell the difference. :- ) The mermaid, the flamingo, and the panda find it too cold in the snow, so they’re staying home.

More scarves / hats / cowls / beanies / gloves.
More wraps / stoles / triangular shawls / motif shawls.
More sweaters / ponchos / vests / jackets / cardigans.
More animals / amigurumi / decor.
More handbags / bags.

@Authors,
2-3 patterns are enough. Don’t forget the link and image, as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what’s special about the pattern.

Imagine this: snow-covered trees, snow-white clouds, and snowflakes—the depths of winter. You can discover all of that on this knitted hat.

You can find the pattern here.

For this, you’ll need yarn with a yardage of 150 m per 50 g, one skein each of blue and white, and 3.5 mm knitting needles.
The pattern is available in 3 different sizes.

And so you won’t get cold on the sleigh ride through the snowy winter landscape, you’ll need a thick, warm infinity scarf.

You can find it here.

Knitted with extra-thick yarn, it’s finished in no time, and the pattern is really just knit and purl stitches. Child’s play!

The finger puppets Santa Claus, snowman, and moose want to come along too! They keep your fingers warm ;-) and provide entertainment and good cheer. In the snowy landscape, you're sure to come up with a fitting story!
You can crochet these 3 finger puppets very quickly from a few bits of leftover yarn. It's really easy.

A sleigh ride just isn’t the same without a nice, warm hat.

This model is knitted from Schoppel’s Reggea wool using a
set of double-pointed needles size 5;
the long color gradient really makes the pattern stand out.

The knitting pattern is very simple since it repeats continuously.

Required skills:
> Casting on with a set of double-pointed needles
> knit stitches
> purl stitches
> yarn overs
> knitting stitches together;

the pattern is here: Hat with Color Gradient

Of course, there’s also a beautiful matching cowl
that keeps you cozy and warm;

it’s also knitted from Schoppel Reggea wool, this time using a circular needle.

The knitting pattern is just as simple as the one for the hat; you just have to be careful not to twist the stitches when joining in the first
round!

here is the pattern for the cowl: Cowl with Diagonal Pattern

For once, not a white unicorn! You wouldn’t even be able to see it in a snowy landscape anyway. But this little purple unicorn loves the snow, which is exactly why it’s the right choice ;-))
To crochet it, all you need is leftover yarn in various shades of purple, some stuffing, and googly eyes. The pattern is also suitable for beginner crocheters.

We can easily brave the cold season and the frosty sleigh ride... ;-)
A poncho makes it nice and comfortable!

The combination of cable and lace patterns – paired with this warm alpaca quality – lets this shoulder warmer keep us warm whenever we need it.

This pattern is designed for sizes 36/38/40/42.
However, the included pattern template and the gauge make it possible to make any size!

A detailed description as well as a chart in knitting chart format guide you through the pattern.
In addition, an exact schematic can be found in the pattern.

And here is the pattern with more details...

Warm hats can definitely be an advantage, too... ;-)
And... it can be knitted up in one evening, so it also works very well as a "last-minute" project.

A detailed description guides you through the pattern.

The pattern is designed for a head circumference of about 50-53 cm.
However, it is simple to make it larger or smaller as needed.

And here is the pattern and more details...

Women and men alike can never have enough hats!
The dreary season comes faster than you think, so why not counter it with colors and patterns?

The hat with the fold-up brim is actually kept simple,
the Norwegian pattern spices the whole thing up.

It is a matter of taste whether to work using the Fair Isle technique or duplicate stitch.
I always recommend - when knitting in rounds - using the duplicate stitch method.
The duplicate stitch is explained in detail and illustrated in the pattern.

And here is the pattern with more details...

... and the little snowflakes dance merrily in the air, making sure there is plenty of snow for the sleigh ride.
The fluffy little winter children (about 12 cm tall) can be crocheted with just a small amount of yarn. You need white, silver, and skin-tone yarn. Fluffy yarn or mohair held together with the main yarn gives them their soft, fluffy look.
