PDF patterns vs. videos – how do you handle them?

Hi everyone,
I’m a total beginner when it comes to crocheting.
If you want to move beyond the pot holder stage, you just need a pattern as a beginner. So you can actually get somewhere.
And then you get started:
it says something like:
1 ch
or 1 dc in the next st

Well, this crochet lingo with the abbreviations for the different types
of stitches is something you actually get used to pretty quickly.

What I still can’t get used to, though, is that with PDF patterns, I
have to stay glued to the screen the whole time.
Because I just can’t handle printed paper versions of patterns at all.
So I open the PDF file and just scroll down with the mouse as I go.

For me, patterns on YouTube, which are spoken and provide audio information, are still more comfortable.

The thing is, though, there are some really great PDF patterns that you just can’t find as easily on YouTube.

A question for the experienced crochet pros:
Do you get used to these paper/PDF patterns?
How do you handle them?

Ich arbeite lieber nach diesen PDF Häkelanleitungen ,ausdrucken und los geht es.
die Abkürtzungen lernt man recht schnell,mitlerweile kann ich sogar die englischen Abkürtzungen .

Besteht Dein Problem mit den Ausdrucken eigentlich immer noch? Und woran scheitert es denn?

danke für Deine Nachfrage - mittlerweile klappt das besser. War halt nur die Anfangsverwirrung.
Hat mit der Übung echt immer besser funktioniert.
