My grandchildren are dinosaur and dragon fans, they love stories, and the second-grader already enjoys reading books on his own. A bookmark shaped like a dinosaur or dragon would be great (it could even be flat). Is there already something like this, or …

I think there’s a “snake” bookmark here by lucygurumi and a crocodile by MamaLela. If that’s not it, then I guess it’s up to us authors.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m familiar with the snake pattern; I’ve also looked for the crocodile pattern in the meantime and browsed through the various dinosaurs and dragons. Maybe I’ll be brave enough to try turning one of the patterns into a bookmark…

Question for everyone: Is it even allowed to turn a pattern—for example, for a keychain—into a bookmark? I don’t want to do anything wrong here out of ignorance.

As long as you’re making this privately for yourself and your family, there shouldn’t be a problem. It only becomes an issue if you want to sell the bookmark commercially.
