Who can help?

Hi, I have a newborn hat here, and my friend would like one in the same colors for her baby, just a little bigger.

Since the hat is from the hospital, no one knows who made it or what kind of yarn was used.

Maybe one of you has an idea what kind of yarn might have these colors.
Because of the little dots, I’m assuming it’s just a single strand of yarn.

I’d appreciate any tips.

I was just about to say that, too. Schachenmayr is a strong possibility—the colors match.

Rico and ONline also offer similar colors. Do you happen to know what kind of material this is?

I suspect it might be “My First Regia” by Schachenmayr. With certain color gradients or color combinations, alternating stripes and polka dots appear.


One skein (25g) is enough for a small baby hat. Unfortunately, I can’t find the color you’re looking for on the current color chart. Maybe it’s an older color, and you might still be able to find it if you search online a bit longer!? As I said, it’s just a guess—I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
