The weekend is also a great time to start something a little bigger. How about a crocheted scarf?

You can find the pattern here.

Sock yarn in bright, bold colors works well for this—but of course, you can also use something more subdued.
The scarf features an airy mesh pattern that lets you see your progress quickly. To make it a bit sturdier, cables are worked in between, which are explained in a tutorial with pictures.

If you have a ball of sock yarn at home, then you already have everything you need for this triangular shawl.

Take a look.

The shawl is easy to knit; you just need to know knit and purl stitches, and there are a few openwork rows in between, but those are also very simple. A lovely knitting project for relaxing hours in the garden - or on the sofa in bad weather.

'It is 16 cm tall, so really something small that is quick to make. You’ll need sock yarn in two different colors and a set of 2.5 mm double-pointed needles. There is a knitting chart for the knitted-in hearts.

This cute wrap bracelet is crocheted in a flash. It’s a real eye-catcher on any wrist. Super comfortable to wear—lightweight and trendy. It also makes a great gift or little present.

The bracelet is also super cute when worn as an anklet. And if you simply lengthen it, it turns into a chic, delicate belt.

The bracelet is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no tedious weaving in of ends
(just the beginning and ending threads). So grab some yarn and a
crochet hook and get started.

Materials: Anchor Aida crochet yarn or Woll Butt Diana size 10, 1.5 mm crochet hook, sewing needle

Feel like crocheting something this weekend, but don’t have time to buy new yarn? Then take a look in your scrap basket!  You’re sure to find a few small balls of cotton yarn (Catania) in there that you can use to crochet a pretty vacation wardrobe for Barbie. What is guaranteed to be finished over the weekend is this tissue box cover. You'll probably have to crochet it more than once, because people will practically snatch it right out of your hands.

The box is also easy for knitting beginners with basic knowledge to make. It's also a great way to use up leftover yarn. The colors can be combined in many different ways.
