Dear customers/users,

As authors, we’re always very interested in what our customers want. I’d like to ask you to list here anything you think is missing in terms of patterns. What have you always been looking for but haven’t found yet? Specific amigurumi, clothing items, tablecloths, household items... whatever you feel is missing.

It would be great if you could also mention the type of craft—e.g., crocheting, knitting, sewing, crafts, specific techniques, etc.

This would be wonderful feedback for everyone here, and all the authors will certainly work hard to fulfill your requests.

That’s such a great idea. Since I’m a fan of your patterns, I’d be happy if you could please create a pattern for a simple knitted cardigan,
(but not with so many back post double crochets)

Just before your idea was posted in the forum, I thought it would be great if someone could explain how to convert a round neckline into a V-neck. In my case, I’m specifically referring to Petra Herrmann’s children’s sweater with a car appliqué, but it would be useful in general.
I’m also always on the lookout for (knitted) sweaters and jackets for boys of early school age, preferably with textured patterns rather than colorful motifs.

Overall, I find the selection at CP very diverse and interesting; thanks to everyone who diligently knits, crochets, and sews.

first of all, thank you for your comment. I don't know whether you can generally “convert” a neckline like that. But I'm sure all the authors are reading along here, and maybe someone has a good tip. But if you ever have questions like that, don't hesitate to simply open a thread about it. All authors and Moderatoren are always happy to help here.

off the top of my head, I’d start by determining the number of stitches for the shoulders.
Then decide whether you want the V-neck to be more pointed or wider.
That will determine when to begin shaping the point—that is, when to begin decreasing.
It also depends on how many stitches per row, and whether you decrease the corresponding number of stitches in every row or, for example, every third row.

You’ll also need to measure how many stitches are needed in width and height to get from the start of the neckline to the shoulder.

I hope that wasn’t too confusing.

I think it’s great that we can share our wishes.
I’m a bit late to the party, but unfortunately I’ve been out of commission for a while.

I’ve often seen sailing ships in filet crochet online.
Sometimes there are patterns, but only in Russian, which I can’t make head or tail of. They come in various sizes and with different numbers of masts.

If something like that were available here, a big wish of mine would come true.

Otherwise, kudos again for your great ideas.

I’d love to have a pattern for a sturdy bag made with Tunisian crochet. I’m currently practicing different patterns with Tunisian crochet. My first big project is going to be a bag. I haven’t been able to find a suitable pattern yet. If that works out, that would be great.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be that big. For the appliqué, I was thinking of a homemade birthday card for the other players.

If the mascot were a single piece, it could be up to about 25 cm tall. But if it’s for everyone, then it should naturally be smaller.

What shape should the bag have, and what do you want to use it for?

I’m looking for a lightweight, crocheted summer hat or beanie made of cotton. Since I’m undergoing chemotherapy, I’m losing some of my hair and would like to cover it up with a lightweight hat. Maybe someone has an idea.

I’m going to crochet some test pieces with 3- and 4-ply yarn to see how each yarn behaves.
I think if I use thinner hooks, it should work out.
Otherwise, I can look for 5-ply yarn or use double strands.
It’ll work out just fine.

There is no pattern; I just crocheted it.

I’m kind of dreaming of a sweater that I think would look better knitted than crocheted. It’s thin and smooth and hides problem areas (I think). The front has a loose crisscross design. Unfortunately, I can’t post a picture here, but if you Google “Cross Front Irregular Hem Jumper,” you’ll see what I mean ;-)
