Prefer crocheting or prefer knitting

Hello everyone,

I’d be interested to know whether there are more knitters among us here, or whether there are more who crochet?
Which is your *best side*?
Or are you like me and do both?

The reason was that with one shoe design, I’m always being asked whether something like this can only be crocheted and not knitted.
So I looked for patterns and thought about how it could be done, and this is what came out:



At the back of the picture is the previous crocheted model, and in the foreground is the new knitted version. OK, the result didn’t turn out "quite" the same, but it is similar.

I’d simply be interested to know which result you like better and whether you prefer knitting or crocheting.

Hi Nici,
I do both, but I’m more of a knitter, which is why I was really happy to see your knitted version of the booties. They’re both very cute, and I hope I’ll find the time this weekend to start making them myself (though I have to make a baptism candle first).
Maybe I’ll combine both versions—knit the shoes and crochet the ruffle. We’ll see!

I prefer crocheting :-)

I prefer crocheting—because of the limited mobility in my left wrist, knitting is incredibly difficult for me.....

So it seems to be true when people always say that crochet is the most in demand on Crazypatterns.
That surprised me a little, since the pattern I’ve sold the most so far is a knitting pattern.

@ appelino: I’m especially happy that you look at my patterns, since you make really wonderful things yourself.
