Looking for patterns for homemade Advent calendars

Hey there,
could you maybe help me out?
I’d like to surprise my two sweet little ones (ages 4 and 7) with homemade, custom-filled Advent calendars this Advent season.
Do you happen to have any patterns for these?
I’d like two different ones—something to sew or craft.
My older daughter is totally obsessed with horses right now, while
my younger daughter is more into Hello Kitty designs.

Wow. The Advent calendars in stores are often filled with just candy and little toys. What will your little ones be getting in them, if I may ask? Unfortunately, I haven’t come across a pattern for an Advent calendar yet. If I find one, I’ll of course pass it on.

But unfortunately, I haven’t seen a pattern either.

It’s almost time for Advent calendars. It’s been a long, long time since my kids had fun with their Advent calendars.
These days, you can only really impress kids with homemade Advent calendars if they contain their favorite licensed merchandise.
Advent calendars are getting bigger and bigger, and so are the “surprises” inside them.

If you’d like to get crafty, how about making little fabric pouches mounted on a sturdy backing to hang on the wall?
You can fill them however you—or the kids—like best.
 

Since when do kids like handmade Advent calendars? They want what’s “in,” after all.
Still, it’s a lovely gesture from the mom in question.
