Trendy colors—do you stick to them?

Yeah, that was actually my question :-)
Because, I pretty much always wear the same colors. Blue, dark red, shades of green, black—that’s about it. I’d love to wear yellow, too, but unfortunately, it makes me look like a block of Camembert.
I do like to keep up with what’s trendy and what other people are wearing, but when it comes to myself, I always end up reaching for the same colors.
So, how do you guys feel about fashion?

Hey there!

I’m not really one to follow fashion trends.
I usually wear jeans and T-shirts, but in all the colors I like and that suit me.
I’m not the pale type, so I can actually pull off bold colors pretty well.
But what I like best is wearing something with Mickey Mouse on it (and by that I don’t mean Donaldson clothes with the little Mickey emblem—though I really like those too, because they’re generally classic and casual, but they’re pretty expensive...) *laughs*—no joke...

Best regards

Mickey Mouse is cute :-) I have this quirk: there can’t be anything on my T-shirts—no palm trees and no “Route 66” or anything like that—they have to be solid-colored. Otherwise, I don’t feel comfortable in them.

And I don’t like prints that feel “rubbery” or somehow “sticky.” No matter how pretty the design is, I just won’t buy it *laughs*

I don’t intentionally stick to trendy colors, but the stores almost force you to—because the really great pieces are mostly available in those colors.

But I’m okay with that—I wear whatever colors I happen to come across :)

(But my favorite is reeeed!)

I wear colors and clothes that make me feel comfortable.

Shades of red have always been among my favorites.
Now that my hair is slowly turning from reddish-blonde to gray, I’m also adding shades of blue and green to my wardrobe.

No, I always wear what I like and what makes me feel comfortable. I don’t really have a favorite color—I just don’t like wearing pink that much.

Anything but salmon ☹—I really like it, but it doesn’t suit me at all.
I prefer to wear jeans; they can take a beating in the wash. Otherwise, everything from T-shirts to blouses—and in every color. I love color ☺. I’d love to have a shirt with Mickey or Minnie, etc. Unfortunately, my family thinks I’m already too old for that.

Well, definitely not me...

If you open my closet, you’ll see mostly shades of gray, black, and brown—maybe one or two pieces in purple—and that’s about it in terms of color... lol. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember. I also really don’t like sequins, beads, or glitter on my clothes.
In my patterns, on the other hand, I do try to pick up on color trends and incorporate some color.

I don’t really follow fashion colors at all—I only buy clothes for myself that I like. It’s not always that easy, though, since I like to wear bold colors, both in summer and winter. (I’m what’s called a “winter type” and these colors suit me well.)
If I don’t absolutely need something, I’ll keep looking or wait until I find something I like 100%. The winter before last, I found a beautiful bright red winter coat—I still love it.

I actually like almost all colors (turquoise is my favorite)—in my crafts, I use just about every color, depending on what suits the project.

I always try to buy cheerful colors for my boys, too, though sometimes that’s not so easy… Pants in mud-colored shades are still okay (the grass stains don’t show as much), but sweaters, shirts, and jackets can definitely be a bit more colorful or bold—especially in winter, I prefer brightly colored jackets to ones in “camouflage colors.”

Trendy colors don’t matter to me either. I wear whatever I feel like wearing. Right now I love turquoise-mint shades.

The colors I choose for my crochet/knitted items also depend on who they are for (as a gift, for the shop window, etc.) and what they are meant to match. So it can be pretty much anything except trends :-)
Even my customers don’t care about trend colors either - it’s always about “does this suit me” and “do I like this”.

Have a lovely Sunday, and
Best wishes,
Traudelina

Speaking of trendy colors—I keep a very close eye on them because I always think I could make something in those colors so I’m ready when they come into style. But somehow, something always gets in the way :-)
