and sewing costumes for children can definitely be a challenge for beginners, so I thought I’d open this additional thread here.

but I wouldn’t be able to manage something like that on my own
though I don’t have any children either
so for me it’s just fun to look at
but out there there are surely lots of children who need a pretty costume, maybe for a kindergarten performance? for Christmas performances you always have to dress up too.
well, anyway. Maybe someone needs something along those lines?
We do have quite a few ladies here who are good and quick with a sewing needle.

Is that what you’re offering here—Carnival costumes and stuff?
If I’d known about this three or four years ago, I would’ve ordered a penguin costume—or even two—for my two girls.
One of those really cute ones with wings instead of arms and fancy little yellow shoes to go with black tights.
My girls wouldn’t go for that anymore.
You have to do it while the little ones still don’t want a say in choosing their costumes.

I’ve always hated having to find costumes for kindergarten parties or performances.
Sewing without a thimble is a surefire way for me to end up with bloody fingers. I’ve got more like 10 thumbs than nimble fingers for sewing.
Still, it’ll have to do for an Advent calendar.

I haven’t dressed up in at least 30 years.
It’s not really necessary. I’m totally fine without a costume.

I’ve seen some really cute Halloween costumes this year. Too bad this topic hasn’t come up at all in the forum.
