Children's backpack

I need a monkey-shaped kids' backpack or shoulder bag.
Does anyone have a pattern for making one?

We have lots of monkeys in the shop, but I couldn't find a monkey backpack.

It could also be an option to make a neutral backpack from a pattern and attach a small monkey to it as an appliqué or bag charm?

I’ve since found an elephant backpack that I’m going to try to modify.
I’m just worried that the head won’t stay up, but I’ll give it a try.

Are you trying to turn an elephant into a monkey?
That sounds exciting.
What do you mean by “the head won’t stay up”?

I’m crocheting the backpack as instructed and then replacing the elephant head with a monkey head. But the monkey head doesn’t offer as much area for sewing it on as the elephant head does (ears, trunk). The head might be too heavy once stuffed.
Maybe I’ll place it further down instead of right on top of the backpack flap.
