Whether on a Chiemsee steamer heading over to Fraueninsel or to Herrenchiemsee Palace, or in a mountain café with a view of Lake Chiemsee – with this cuddly-soft lace shawl in the finished dimensions of 150 cm x 65 cm (or your desired size), you'll simply feel completely at ease.

These knitting skills are used:

Crocheting socks has always been a huge challenge for me, which is why I created this pattern: I want to make crocheting socks easier for you. The socks are crocheted from the cuff to the sole in back-and-forth rows. The cuff consists of post double crochets worked alternately from the front and back, which makes it very stretchy. The toe of the sock is widened in the middle of the work with increases. The increases at the heel give the sock an anatomical fit. You’ll need to master these stitch variations:

• single crochet
• half double crochet
• front and back post double crochet
• decreases and increases worked in half double crochet
• triple decrease: decrease 3 stitches together using half double crochet

For this great project, you’ll need:

• a 2.0 crochet hook
• 100g / 420m of sock yarn; I used AKTIV sock yarn from Supergarne, which comes in many great colors and spectacular gradients
• a pair of scissors

A lightweight knitted piece for every season – whether worn over or under – simple, with an eye-catching collar area. Both stitch patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar shaping requires a little attention. Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.

The illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles. Due to the jacket’s relaxed shape and stretchiness, one stitch more or less is not so crucial. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts = approx. 10 cm. If your gauge differs more significantly, please choose a larger or smaller needle size.

The PDF pattern does not include a knitting course, but it does include corresponding link tips.

Difficulty level:   medium (because of the collar shaping)


We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk,
Details according to the ball band: needles 3–4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage; alternative yarns: e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair/KidSilk (Adriafil) – in each case the same amount for the total back length of approx. 71 cm knitted here. This material is knitted with the yarn held double.

You can also use yarns if the ball bands indicate a gauge of approx. 14 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 needles. In that case, knit with a single strand and calculate approx. 100 g more yarn (due to the jacket length and collar) than recommended on the ball band.

Used here: size 6.0 knitting needles, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for sewing in ends, scissors, stitch marker, row counter if needed.

You can crochet this little companion for your brave dragon slayer yourself with the help of this pattern.
All steps are explained in detail, and many pictures help you make it. For this great project you need: a 2–2.5 mm crochet hook, yarn; I recommend Mondial Bio Soft Cotton 50 g-180 m. This yarn is made of 100% organic cotton, is very soft and tested for harmful substances, making it ideal for baby toys. (or alternatively Katia “Candy” for Baby or Online Cotton Baby) You can also use a different yarn, but you need to keep in mind that this will change the size of the comforter. You need: pink scraps, black scraps for the mouth, mint with colorful speckles (color 291) for the underside of the comforter, the wings and the ears approx. 50 g apple green (color 135) for the top of the comforter, the head and the legs approx. 50 g aqua (color 522) scraps for the spots on the back, to crochet around the wings and to embroider the hair. If you use different yarn, you may need to adjust the yarn quantities. A darning needle for sewing in ends, scissors, a stitch marker or a thread in a contrasting color to mark the beginning of each round, sewing thread in a matching color to sew on the head, spots and wings. Stuffing, crinkle foil for the wings, stitch marker. To crochet the comforter, you need to know the following: single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), decreases, increases, slip stitch, magic ring, popcorn stitch

The ribbed pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is normally usual for hats.The crochet hook size should match the yarn being used.

Green like the gentle hills of Hobbiton from Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" is the shawl Auenland, whose design was inspired by that very fantasy landscape.



Auenland is a semicircular shawl that is worked from the top down. The semicircular shape is created by even increases.

That's why here you’ll find a truly gruesome-ugly Halloween witch that is 80 cm tall with her hat. And of course every witch needs a 
witch’s kitchen and a broom. I have combined all these things here in one
