Dear Backsbeern, happy belated birthday and best wishes from the south to the north. Have fun cooking or canning. Hopefully you had a good meal yesterday, of course with cake too.
@everyone,
if you haven’t clicked on Backsbeern’s bookbinding project / bow box yet, you should catch up right away. It looks good.
Josefa, I had to think for a moment about why you’re wishing me lots of fun with preserving and cooking, but I guess you read it on my blog? :-)
And yes, maybe I’ll add more patterns from me to CP; so far, they’ve always been available for free on the blog or at XXXX (I’m not sure whether I’m allowed to mention the name here?).
If I didn’t have to spend so many hours sitting in front of the microscope during the day, I’d have a lot more time for it ;-))
@Backsbeern
I haven’t read your blog, but you posted some info about yourself in the birthday thread. That’s where we collect birthdays and info about individual users—or rather, the users and authors post that information there themselves.

The weekend is coming up fast, so I should find some time for a new pattern.
Do you work on your patterns in the evenings, or do you find time for them during the day?
I keep working on them from time to time, writing everything down as I crochet or knit and taking photos. That way, I only have to transfer it to the computer later. With long patterns, that can easily take a whole evening. But the main thing is that it’s fun.
That’s what I wish for you with your patterns. Your bookbinding projects are great!
I can crochet in a straight line just fine, but that’s about it. On my last vacation, I brought some crochet supplies with me because I wanted to make a baby blanket out of lots of little pieces. But I realized that crocheting isn’t exactly great for rhizarthrosis (which I’ve unfortunately had for a short while now), so I gave it up.
Well, I wouldn’t have been able to make one of those cute Lalylalas anyway ;-) A friend from the forum made two for me, and they’re now sitting on a wicker chair in my study.
Crocheting seems to be all the rage right now... and “sewing bags”;-)
