Dear users, dear authors,
you’re sure to still need some shirts and tops for the summer. The new summer designs are online—just pick out the absolute best ones and recreate them in each of your favorite colors.

Crocheted Spring/Summer Shirt in Soft Colors

Spring is here, and inspired by nature, I designed this airy summer top, which can be worn in both spring and summer and is a real eye-catcher thanks to its zigzag pattern.


This summer top consists of three different crochet stitch patterns, which are explained here in the form of crochet charts and written instructions. Numerous photos provide additional help. The instructions are based on size M/L. Of course, I also indicate approximately how many pattern repeats you should allow for other sizes.


Difficulty level : Easy to Intermediate

What you’ll need :

Yarn:
200 grams each of two different colors (e.g. white/lilac) of Gründl Cotton Light (100 g = 200 m)
Recommended hook size 4, as well as a yarn needle and scissors

You should know the following stitches:
chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and simple seaming

Here you decide for yourself how the top should look in the end. You can crochet yourself a beautiful fringed tunic, or simply an airy
short top. Using this pattern, it can be made in all sizes and with any yarn and hook size. With or without fringe, loose or
gathered under the bust—anything is possible. The pattern
consists of 12 pages with many explanations and plenty of pictures for
illustration.

Material usage depends on hook and yarn thickness:

• Crochet hook of your choice, here size 3
• e.g., size M–L shown here used approx. 220 g yarn / 800 m (here 4-ply gradient yarn)

With this pattern, the size and length of the tunic can be individually adjusted to the wearer.As a short top, long shirt, dress, or tied together under the bust as a tunic, it is an absolute dream for summer.
And the best part: You can wear it inside out; the other side also has a beautiful pattern and
looks completely different. It is crocheted from top to bottom in one piece,
so there is no annoying weaving in of ends.

Required materials:

• I used 1,000 m of 4-ply yarn for size 36/38, with a beautiful color gradient. Pink/lavender/blackberry - Bobbel called "Mädchentraum", turquoise/gray/black Bobbel called Meerestiefe, available
  from Wollfamos
  Of course, any other yarn can also be used
• crochet hook suitable for the yarn used (I used hook size 3)

The summer top with the unusual collar is quick to knit.

The download also includes an Excel spreadsheet for converting your individual gauge. For the latter, you will need Excel or LibreOffice (available as a free download online).

The PDF pattern includes photos, but it is not a basic knitting course (a link for basic knitting techniques is included).

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, purl and knit stitches, yarn over, knit stitches together, slip-slip-knit-style decrease (explained), increase from the strand between stitches, bind off stitches.

We need for sizes S/M/L: 300 g cotton (blend) ribbon yarn, Keiki by Austermann used here, 63% cotton, 37% polyamide, for needle size 5–6, gauge according to the ball band 16 stitches x 23 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, 50 g–90 m. Pins for blocking, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, row counter is helpful. Used here: knitting needle size 5.0.

Spring is coming—and summer is right on its heels...
This tank top is loose and comfortable to wear, and the combination of lace and dropped stitches brings summer with it.

This pattern is designed for size 38/40.
However, the included schematic and gauge make it possible to make any size!

it is knitted from cotton, following a really easy pattern,

since the sleeves are set in straight, the shape is also easy to knit,

the sizes are given from size 36 to size 46!

This light and airy summer top made of thin cotton is super quick and easy to knit. The edges are crocheted. For me, this top weighs just over 200 grams.

All you need is a basic knowledge of knitting and crocheting. Each step is explained in the description.

What makes it special: You can easily adjust the size to other sizes. This description is suitable for sizes 38–42.

If you prefer it a bit longer and still figure-hugging, then this light and airy summer tunic - this long sweater made of thin cotton - is just right for you.

It is very easy to knit, even for beginners with a few basic skills. Here too, each step is explained in detail. The special pattern creates an airy effect without looking see-through.

With the help of this pattern, you can crochet a pretty tunic/top for summer. This tunic/top is chic and goes with many outfits. It was crocheted with a soft, high-quality yarn made of 55% silk and 45% cotton, making it very comfortable to wear. Of course, any other yarn can be used as well, but for summer I recommend using a cotton blend yarn. For size 38, I used ten half skeins (yardage 1200 m, 260 g). Crochet hook size 4

This airy summer top is perfect for the beach, or also for your next evening outfit if you pair it with a matching camisole and light-colored 3/4 pants. If you lengthen the main pattern by several pattern repeats, you can also easily turn it into a gorgeous beach dress.

Thanks to two snap fasteners, you can wear this top in two different ways. One option is the classic straps, which can be undone at the back and then tied together at the neck, turning it into a halter top.

A total of four different stitch patterns are used here. The patterns are fully charted and are also provided again in written form, so you can decide whether you want to work from the crochet chart or the text.

Difficulty level: Easy

Required skills:

chain stitches, single crochet, half and full double crochet, slip stitch, picot

Yarn:

Approx. 200 - 300 g of any gradient yarn cake – 4-ply – 1000 -1500 m yardage, 2 snap fasteners, recommended hook size 3.5

of a cotton yarn, e.g. Limone (Schoeller+Stahl)/Catania (Schachenmayr), 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, any color choice; according to the label for hook size 2.5 – 3.5; used here: 3.5 crochet hook.
You will also need: measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, sewing needle for attaching the decorative buttons, 2 decorative buttons, scissors, safety pin or straight pin for securing the straps, stitch markers if desired.

This pretty summer top looks wonderful with a skirt or worn over pants. With a bit of perseverance, you can lengthen it into a dress. The pattern is divided by cup sizes:

The bust circumference and length of the top are individually adjusted to the wearer.You can also decide whether you’d like to wear it as a tank top or as a halter top. There is also a
button placket in the back for the perfect fit.
