Sweater Trends

What’s the difference between a sweatshirt, a sweater, and a (jersey) jumper? Can you sew all of these yourself? I don’t find the prints on the site very exciting. But I guess you’d need a sewing machine for that, right?

Can you crochet or knit something like that, too? If you use a slightly finer yarn, could you imitate jersey fabric?

I’m not sure if it’s worth sewing sweatshirts yourself. Sewing machines aren’t exactly cheap, and you can find ready-made sweatshirts in stores, sometimes at rock-bottom prices. Do you have any experience with a sewing machine?
