Summer Plans (No Advertising)

Well, this summer—hopefully with nice weather—I’m definitely going to enjoy the school break. No morning rush, no homework stress—just me and my yarn ;-)

I’ll be spending two weeks of the break at the North Sea—for the sake of my husband’s and son’s health. And I love the climate there, too. But of course, I’ll have yarn in my luggage… my two men know that, too.

Hopefully, our car will finally be here by summer, and I’m already looking forward to lots of trips in the surrounding area and farther afield. 
A gift certificate for a romantic weekend in the Harz Mountains still needs to be redeemed, too.

Hey there!

By summer, the renovation and the move will probably be well behind us... then I’ll be enjoying my new big garden and—while the kids play and splash around—crocheting outside when the weather’s nice!

During summer break, I’ll enjoy not having to check homework and not having to play taxi to the gym or soccer field every day. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to sleep in because I have to work.
I’d like to spend a lot of time in the garden during the afternoons and weekends this summer—playing with my boys, working (maybe the two of them will help out too), and, of course, crocheting.

Summer, sun, lake—Yay!
We’re taking the kids to Grundelsee. We’re staying at a JUFA youth hostel right on the water.
Biking, fishing, horseback riding, teepees with archery—everything a kid could want. And my adventurous husband likes it, too.
I’m hoping for a few quiet hours by the lake with a good book, alternating between my crochet hook and some yarn. And of course, biking and archery with the kids and my husband, too. I’ll just skip the horseback riding and fishing—those aren’t really my thing.

Other than that, we’ll be going on outings, swimming, and just relaxing.
I only have two weeks of vacation myself, but since it doesn’t get dark until late and there are weekends, too, I’m especially looking forward to some time without homework and studying. Maybe just as much as my kids are.
