Fans of delicate lace shawls will be completely delighted with the knitting pattern for the beautiful Tinuviel shawl.

It is a large, crescent-shaped shawl designed especially for Schoppel’s “Laceball 100” and “Zauberball 100” lace yarn, but it can also be knitted with any other lace yarn. The yarn you choose should not be thicker than standard lace yarn, otherwise it could lose its light and airy character. The shawl is knitted from the top down; even increases along the edge and within the shawl create its shape.

Materials needed:
  • approx. 800 meters of lace yarn (e.g. Laceball by Schoppel )
  • circular knitting needle size 3 - 4 mm
  • beads (e.g. seed beads )
  • a piece of very thin wire or dental floss
  • sewing needle
  • scissors
  • kitchen scale
Anyone who decides to incorporate beads will find a small tutorial on knitting in the beads in the pattern. The pattern comprises 9 pages, includes detailed chart explanations and a schematic drawing.
Skill level: intermediate

  • Rundstricknadel Nr. 4,5
  • Schere
  • Wollnadel

Größe des gespannten Tuches:
ca. 204 x 75 cm

Hier geht's lang zur Anleitung ...

The contributors before me have already shared many beautiful shawls with you—each one more beautiful than the last and so delicate. But are you hesitant because you’ve never knitted with such fine yarn before? And what about those large holes? Just be brave—with the right pattern, you’ll definitely succeed!

For beginners to lace shawls , I recommend my “Lace Shawl for Beginners .” In the pattern, I describe and demonstrate step by step how to go from thin yarn to a finished, delicate shawl. The knitting pattern isn’t difficult—it consists of two pattern rows that alternate continuously.

You’ll need 2 skeins of gradient yarn (“Daphne Lace” or “Lace Top by Lanas Stop” or “Schoppel Zauberball Lace 100” or another yarn—even a solid color—with a yardage of approx. 50 g/400 meters), as well as a circular knitting needle and a size 4 crochet hook. You’ll also need pins for blocking. I’ll explain exactly how to do all of this in the pattern.

I hope you enjoy the pattern and get a beautiful result. Yours, “Ina strickt’”

PaYaLa is a lightweight shawl made from Yak Lace, perfect for cool mornings or evenings.
It was dyed by Gesa Drechsler (Buttjebeyy)
It can also be used as a shoulder wrap and is super cozy!!
It features a relatively simple lace pattern that’s easy to pick up. It spans 16 rows and is clearly explained with a chart. It’s absolutely beginner-friendly.
You’ll need 2 skeins.
It can also be knitted with any other lace yarn, but it should have a total yardage of at least 700m, preferably 800m.

This airy triangular shawl is knitted from a very thin summer yarn; you only need 100 grams,

so it’s as light as a feather. It’s made of cotton, which is very comfortable to wear, and

the pattern is very easy to follow—even beginners can give it a try!

Triangular shawl for any yarn - crocheted

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant. Size: any size.

For the size made here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 – 4, here a 4.0 mm crochet hook. I would not recommend thicker yarn for visual reasons. I decided not to block the shawl for myself, because then the curves of the shell pattern stand out better – but that is a matter of taste.

These crochet skills are enough:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet,
front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. A link/video tip for a crochet course and more is included.

The download includes

  • in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding images,
  • in the second part, a shorter version that is also illustrated, and
  • last but not least, a scarf/shawl variation in short form.
Difficulty level: easy to intermediate - no crochet chart - no gauge required.

A dream in lace: the beautiful Fuego crochet shawl.

A delicate, beginner-friendly pattern makes it the perfect accessory for summer days, festive occasions, or even a wedding.

The pattern in this beautiful lace shawl looks like little flames licking upward, and that is where the name comes from. Fuego is Spanish and means "fire".

The shawl is crocheted from top to bottom. Since the pattern consists only of single crochet, chain stitches, and double crochet, no advanced crochet skills are needed.

Materials needed:
  • approx. 200 grams or approx. 750–800 meters of yarn (e.g., lace-weight yarn, sock yarn, or a “Bobbel” made from plied gradient yarn)
  • crochet hook size 3–3.5
  • scissors
  • sewing needle
Finished shawl measurements: approx. 180 x 80 cm.
The pattern is 10 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts and a schematic drawing.

Difficulty level: easy.

And the best part: Right now you can save up to 25% on the pattern price.

I have one more: it’s called "Forest Brook Stole." It is a rectangular stole, originally knitted in merino with 160 m per 50 g, but of course it can also be made with other yarns. You’ll need about 550 m for it if you use the original yarn, plus size 3.5 mm knitting needles.
The shawl can also be knitted as a scarf with fewer stitches; some have even knitted a cowl using the pattern, so it’s quite versatile.

You can find the pattern here.

Lace shawls are elegant and striking.

The Rote Zora has a classic, elegant design and can be varied in width, from scarf to stole. With your purchase, you will receive a 5-page pattern that includes a knitting chart. For an easier start, the first rows are also written out.

Go to the pattern HERE

The following techniques are required:
  • cast-on
  • purl stitches
  • knit stitches
  • yarn overs
  • left-leaning decreases
  • right-leaning decreases
  • cabling
The lace pattern is not suitable for beginners. You should have some lace knitting experience.

What’s included:
  • suitable for advanced knitters
  • pattern incl. knitting chart
  • size variable from scarf to stole
You’ll need these materials at home:
  • 1 skein of Lace uni by Wollmeise in the color “Confident” (300 g/1575 m 100% merino wool)
  • 3.5 mm circular knitting needle (60–80 cm)
  • scissors
  • yarn needle

Here is a crocheted shawl—also suitable for beginners:
Crochet Pattern Lace Shawl AIRY-LIGHT

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Quick and easy, this square shawl is crocheted from the center outward. It can be worn in many ways, e.g. as a shoulder wrap / poncho / triangular shawl / neckerchief / scarf / hooded scarf.

  • Size variable
  • Any yarn
  • No gauge
  • No crochet chart
  • For both experienced crocheters and beginners

These crochet skills are enough: chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches.

The PDF crochet pattern includes

  • Short version of the pattern
  • Step-by-step illustrated instructions
  • Crochet techniques for beginners, plus helpful links

Material
:
Basically, you can use any yarn you like, with a hook about one to two sizes larger than recommended on the respective ball band.
Fine lace yarns are especially recommended for this pattern. 4-ply sock yarn also works well.

used here: for 90 cm x 90 cm
approx. 80 g Daphne lace yarn (Schoeller+Stahl), 75% virgin wool, 25% polyamide, 50 g – 400 m for needle size 3.0 to 4.0; used here: crochet hook size 4.5, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. Pins for blocking.
