Dear users, dear authors,
how do you celebrate spring and Easter?
Let me know.

When spring arrives, I always want to bring it into my home, so I put a vase of tulips or daffodils on display.
I also really enjoy decorating for Easter.
On Easter itself, we often rented a car and went on trips. We’re doing that again this year, but this time with our own car. We’re planning a trip to the Wörlitz Garden Realm, where the crocus blooms are the highlight every spring.

When spring arrives, the gardening starts.
I can only lure my husband and daughter back into the house with food. My son is more in the phase of saying, “I don’t want to” and “I won’t do it,” but once I get him outside, he really enjoys it.

We’ve always spent Easter at my parents’ house so far, but they’ve decided to go away this Easter. I’m truly happy for them.
If the weather is nice, we’ll go back to our adventure playground, where the local beautification association always hides little Easter nests for the children, and it’s always great fun there all afternoon with refreshments and chatting.
Or we’ll go archery. Now that my husband has finally recovered from his herniated disc, we can finally do more things again.

I already have tulips in the house because I’m really longing for spring to arrive. I’m looking forward to our very first barbecue of the season, which always happens in the spring. I’d love to do it right away, but we’ll probably wait until Easter.

That’s when my whole family comes over to our place, since we have the most space on our property. And we’ll have somewhere to take cover if a few raindrops happen to fall. We can’t even host an event like that in our apartment anymore, because when everyone gets together, there are a whopping 18 of us. It’s always really stressful, but it’s also nice to have everyone together.

For me, spring kicks off with window cleaning... it’s even more fun when I can admire the first crocuses, snowdrops, and winter knotweed while I work.

Then, until Easter (hopefully the weather cooperates), I’ll get the garden back in shape—digging over and weeding the flower beds—so the Easter Bunny dares to hop through.
This year, he’ll be replacing the giant trampoline that the storm destroyed… I’m already looking forward to my youngest’s excited shouts.

We don’t really have family dinners in that sense, since we’d need a banquet hall to fit all our relatives. The way it works at our house is that relatives show up one by one, and we exchange Easter baskets with the little ones (though the 21- and 65-year-olds insist on being counted as “kids” on this day).
