Double-pointed needles

Hello, all you hard-working knitters!
I’d love to know how you store your double-pointed needles.
I tie each set of double-pointed needles together with a scrap of yarn and store them in a case. But sometimes a needle comes loose and can’t find its “friends” anymore :-) Also, there’s nowhere to write down the size, so I have to measure them again every time.
I’m hoping for lots of good ideas.

Hello,

at the moment there are these hair ties that look like a coiled phone cord. They're quite inexpensive.
I cut them open and then wrap them around the set of double-pointed needles.
That way, nothing can come loose anymore.
To indicate the sizes, you could use different colors. :-)
