I’d like to add a few more designs to the embroidery file category. While those cute crochet projects really warm my heart, I feel more at home with sewing and embroidery.
I started digitizing embroidery files three years ago, and I love working on new designs at night. :)
I’m 34, have two girls, a husband, a job, and my hobby.
I’m just saying hi to everyone and hope you’ll give me a few tips soon!
Hi Kirsten
welcome to our forum and the site. There aren’t that many embroiderers here yet, so we’re really happy to have you join us.
May I ask what your nickname means? I found your shop on Dawanda via Google, but there’s no translation of the name. I think it sounds really nice, though—that’s why I’m asking :)
I hope you have fun and wish you lots of success selling your patterns

“emblicity” stands for “EMBroidery simpLICITY”—so, loosely translated, “simple embroidery.” I think there are already endless embroidery files out there with 30 color changes and about 15 colors involved... I’d lose interest after just the third color change. So I’ve dedicated myself to “simple embroidery files”—redwork, etc.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome; I think I’ll feel right at home here! :) Seeing all those beautiful crochet projects, I sometimes wish I could crochet, but I think I already have enough hobbies! :)
I still embroider by hand myself, but I did get to try out an embroidery machine at a workshop once. I found it very interesting, and the possibilities it offers are fascinating.
You have some great patterns on offer. Best of luck here at CP
