Hi everyone,

I’d love some help. I’ve fallen in love with a pattern on Ravelry. Unfortunately, my English is pretty poor to mediocre. So my question is: can anyone translate it for me, or has anyone already tried out these patterns? I’d love to crochet it and, of course, I’m willing to pay for the German version of the pattern. Maybe the pattern is already available here in German and I just haven’t found it, or maybe it’s listed under a different name? I’d appreciate any tips.

It’s for the following:
Oma House Slippers or
Galilee Slippers

Welcome to Crazypatterns. As far as I know, the designer Mamachee isn’t represented on Crazypatterns—unless, of course, she uses a different name here.
Before you have the pattern translated, you should ask the author whether she agrees to it, since the copyright for the pattern belongs to her. Just ask Mamachee directly; she may be open to a translation.

Hi Blume, I checked out the “Oma House Slippers” page on Ravelry. It’s nothing out of the ordinary. Crazypatterns offers plenty of good patterns for crocheted slippers in German. They’re no different from the ones on Ravelry. But I’m not afraid of English patterns either. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

The designer of Mamachee is Tara Murray; she lives in Alaska.
Her patterns are only available in English.
Just like Josefa, I would definitely ask Tara if she’s okay with a translation!

We have plenty of slippers with German patterns, for knitting and crocheting

Maybe there’s something there for you that doesn’t need to be translated first.
That would of course be a practical solution.
