Crocheting a Christmas Lamb

Hi,
I love browsing through these wonderful patterns. I’ve successfully crocheted quite a few of them.
Now I’ve come across this adorable Christmas lamb and have already started crocheting it.
Unfortunately, I’m having trouble with the ears and the white hat. The hat is much too big as described, and how are the ears sewn on? Or is the crochet pattern actually correct? They look a little different somehow.
Maybe someone can help me, or maybe I’m just being too clumsy.

I completely agree with MyBatzi, and if you’re having trouble with certain crochet steps, YouTube is often a big help. It’s often easier to understand when you see it demonstrated.

@ Josefa, absolutely—and if you ask me as the author, I’m always very happy to help. I think that’s a matter of honor and goes without saying. I just wanted to point out this option, because sometimes, as a beginner, written instructions can be harder to follow, and a video can be very useful as a guide and helps you understand things more quickly. Questions about written instructions, for example, can often be cleared up very quickly by going through the individual steps.
