Lederhosen...

For my Sebastian, Martina sewed the matching little shirt, and I’m sewing the lederhosen for our boy dolls.

Wow, Inge, you and your daughter Martina are such pros! These look super professional and traditional. So many beautiful details. I can’t get enough of these cute miniature traditional outfits. With these, the little guy can head straight to Oktoberfest (I’m sure they’ll have sparkling water there, too). The girls are going to be jealous.

Dear Inge, the second little boy looks great, too! I can’t get enough of all the lovely details: the buttons, the piping on the pants made from the shirt fabric, then the fabric from Gögo, the cute dog appliqués—everything is absolutely adorable. If these were for sale in a fan shop at Oktoberfest, they’d be an instant bestseller. Handicrafts don’t get any more lovingly made than this. And everything’s handmade!

Wow, Inge, you’re both absolutely amazing when it comes to sewing and crafts. Great outfit. I love the lederhosen, especially with the matching plaid shirt.

Like Ina said, bring on Oktoberfest—these two little guys will steal the show from everyone. I can’t get enough of looking at them either. Awesome!

First of all, thank you so, so much for your kind words about our little sewing project—it’s also a ton of fun.

The idea came about quite spontaneously. I happened to have the leather in my stash, so that was taken care of. The fabric for the shirts had almost ended up in the dumpster during a clean-out, but we managed to save it at the last minute—and just like that, we had the fabric for the shirts secured too. We sewed them just as Inge described.

Oh, Martina, it’s so nice that you, as a co-creator of these enchanting pieces, are chiming in too. You two make a great team and are soooo creative together! 

Looking at your pictures, I just have to compliment those colorful hand-knitted socks! The whole set is sooo great. You can tell from every single piece just how much love and passion went into designing and making it.
