Today my husband gave me a tiny baby—she’s only 15 cm tall. Martina knitted her a pair of little socks right away, and I sewed a little crib for her. The basket is an old proofing basket that we don’t need anymore.

Hi Petra, you’re right—I started knitting them on a whim yesterday when I was at Mom’s (Akela). Even though they’re so small, it still felt like it took forever to finish them. Then last night at home, I immediately started knitting a pair of pants for the little one, which are already finished and delivered. The pants fit perfectly 👍 and little Mia won’t have to be cold anymore.

A little munchkin like that is bound to get cold—she needs our warm clothes. It’s great that you dressed her up so quickly. Now she already looks much happier. With very tiny items, you really have to pay close attention; adding or subtracting just one or two stitches makes a big difference. And most of the time, it’s hard to even imagine something that small.

I visited my new grandchild today and measured the feet: 7.5 cm. The little socks I’d knitted ahead of time are (way) too big. So tomorrow I’ll knit the mini version. It’s good that we can adjust them.

Keep having lots of fun with your dolls—both the big ones and the little ones.
