What projects are suitable for using up a lot of yarn quickly?

Seat cushions. Crochet or knit with multiple strands of yarn together.<\/p>

Knitted or crocheted jackets made from thick yarn require a lot of yarn, and they also work up quickly. When worked from the top down, you can determine the length yourself—and thus how much yarn you’ll use. A jacket that reaches the thighs is a great option. 

Flared sleeves are also in style right now, and they use up a lot of yarn quickly, too.
