Have you ever been to a crochet/knitting movie night? What was your experience like?

Dear friends,
I went to a knitting movie night for the first time yesterday. I’m a bit torn about it. It was a small arthouse theater, and it was pretty warm in there, so the yarn didn’t run as smoothly as I would have liked. Before the movie, there was a nice chat with everyone. The movie (An Almost Perfect Proposal) then captivated me so much that I barely knitted. My friend also found it a bit too dark.
Bottom line: It was a lovely evening with like-minded people, but not again in the summer, and next time I’d bring a small light that you can wear around your neck.

What do you think about these knitting/crochet movie nights?

I haven’t done that yet, but I’d love to give it a try. At home, I also crochet and knit while watching TV, so doing that among like-minded people could be quite entertaining.

I’ve done that before, too: knitting at the movies. It was on a day that wasn’t too hot, so there were no problems with the yarn. ;-)
The theater wasn’t too dark, and you could see your work well. 
Since I’ve learned at my knitting group that challenging patterns tend to be counterproductive, I brought along a simple knitting project that I can knit almost blind.
All in all, it was a wonderful event. 
I also really enjoyed the movie “Wunderschöner.”

Ich weiß  nicht... Auf einen interessanten Film würde ich mich gerne richtig konzentrieren können.  Und wahrscheinlich wäre es mir zu dunkel zum Stricken.
Ich stricke ganz gerne beim Fernsehen  aber dann eher bei Shows oder Talks, wo man nicht ständig hingucken muss. Und eine Lampe, die meine Arbeit gut beleuchtet, hab ich dabei auch immer an.

Würde ich gerne machen. Und ein leichtes Projekt mitnehmen, Socken, Schal oder Loop o. Ä. , nichts bei dem man zählen muss.
