Hardworking little helpers: Is it too hot for you to do some crafts?

Dear community,
what are you working on right now? How’s the garden coming along? Do you have time and feel like crafting?

As a retiree, I’m lucky enough to always have time—and I’m definitely in the mood. Since it’s not humid here yet and there’s even a little breeze, I find even a good 30 degrees very pleasant.
Today I’m continuing with the Mystery CAL, and I’ve sewn a curtain to hang in front of my wide-open bedroom window—since I no longer sleep in a little grove but on a major construction site, and otherwise there’s a clear view into my bed, which I don’t really like. And for the summer, just having the window tilted open at night isn’t enough for me.

I just started a project with some great summer yarn, and it’s nice to crochet in this shady corner 

I have a few shady spots to choose from in the garden—
but it’s still more tiring than it used to be:
I’m definitely starting to feel my age a bit ;) 

We have old, tall trees here that provide plenty of habitat for animals, creating their own microclimate—cool and pleasant. The many birds are chirping. It’s a wonderful atmosphere for crocheting. 🥰

Yesterday and today, the weather has been more bearable again. 😊
I’ve cast on a shirt using cotton yarn. I’m going to knit it. The yarn had previously been crocheted into a mesh tunic. That didn’t wear very well...
The new top is meant to be worn especially in summer temperatures. I hope I can finish it quickly.
Today is also our knitting meetup at our local library, and I’m sure I’ll make some progress there.

I finished all my errands this morning, so starting at noon—after lunch—I’ll have time to do some crafts. Our balcony—we’re on the east side of our building (9th floor)😉—gets sun until noon; after that, it gets very pleasant, especially in the height of summer or during this current heat wave. Plus, it’s not as humid today as it has been the last few days, and right now it’s 24°, so my hands don’t sweat quite as much while I’m crafting.
