Oh, how beautifully everything is blooming at your place. You have a wonderful garden. And it looks really big. A true haven of peace.

I, too, am spending more time working in the garden right now than relaxing. But I’m enjoying every minute of it.

A big garden looks beautiful when everything is green and in bloom.
But you can’t forget that it always comes with work.
That said, you shouldn’t be too fussy and pull out every single weed.
Some of them have their place and bloom beautifully...

Right now, I’m spending a lot of time outside working.
My garden isn’t that big—“only” 1,600 m².
But that’s enough to sometimes make me fed up.
You just have to draw the line somewhere and really enjoy it,
even if not everything is perfect.

Yesterday and the day before, it rained.
I wasn’t upset about it, because nature is just crying out for rain.
Now the pollen from all those rapeseed fields has finally settled down a bit.

So I was able to get back to my yarn. :-)
And I was able to finish two patterns, too.
Now I’m crocheting a jacket in my favorite color, red.

Wishing you lots of fun with your crafts and in the garden, Mona (Froschoma_Mona)

I NEVER associate gardening with work
only with fun, relaxation, and exercise.
Because of all the crafting—for 10 years now
I sit far too much anyway, so I’m happy for any meaningful movement ;)
I’m also always coming up with new garden projects
—so I don’t run out of things to do ;)

Dear PetraPerle, your garden (which is practically a park) looks truly impressive. As a visitor, it would take quite a while to take it all in and admire everything. The important thing is to enjoy it and not be too picky. Anything that turns into stress isn’t good—whether in the garden or with crafts. Variety is key—that way, you don’t get bored, and yes, you get some exercise too.

My gardening today consisted of repotting the little bell pepper seedlings into larger pots. It’s cold outside, but it was cozy in the greenhouse. They can stay in the “nursery” until the end of May.

Warm regards, Ina

A greenhouse is another thing I’ve been wanting… I’ve already been collecting old windows with frames… we’ll see if I can pull it off someday… with a foundation and all that… I’ve already tried… but it didn’t work out ;)

Oh, a greenhouse—I dream of having one too, and I’ve already collected a few windows for it. Whenever I see glaziers replacing windows somewhere, I politely ask if I can take one. Right now, they’re stored in the basement.

Almost everything is allowed to grow in my garden. There’s no such thing as weeds, my neighbor says; they’re wild plants. I think the more wild growth there is, the more insects and garden creatures have come to us.

That’s what makes gardens so different and wonderful. Petra Perle, I think I’d like it at your place too. There’s surely something to discover in every corner.

Right now, the columbines are blooming here

You all have such beautiful gardens!
Yes, a greenhouse is really something special—I had one at my old house, too. It takes gardening to a whole new level.
