Yarn Diet or Yarn Shopping?

Are you currently on a yarn diet, or have you bought more?
You can find lovely patterns for using up yarn here. 

I’m actually doing a good job of using up my leftover yarn, but I did place a small order—there’s another Mystery CAL coming up in May at LaCritza, and they were offering the matching yarn kit for it. Since I didn’t have anything suitable on hand, I went ahead and ordered it right away; I absolutely love these Mystery CALS.

I’ve never participated in a Mystery CAL before. I’m not sure if I can just jump into working on something without knowing what the end result will be. Especially when I have absolutely no idea what the project I’m working on is supposed to look like. I really admire you for it, though, because your results are amazing.

I’m sticking to my “yarn diet” and giving all the craft stores a wide berth. So far this year, I’ve crocheted up 305 grams of yarn. There really isn’t any room left in my box for new yarn yet. 

I spotted a clearance lot of brand-name yarn and couldn’t resist—it was only 300 m, and I knitted it right away into a short vest. So, no yarn diet for me.

At the same time, I have a project that’s almost finished, and I’ve used up a lot of cotton on it, so I’m looking forward to restocking my supplies. That way, I’m always motivated to see a project through to the end.

I have to stick to my “wool diet,” even though there’s always such beautiful yarn out there. My yarn box is still full, pretty much all the dolls have something to wear, the doll strollers and cribs have pretty blankets, and there are plenty of other decorations lying around. And I’ve got enough knitted items for myself for now, too. :-)
