April Fools’ Jokes 2026: Did You Have Any Good April Fools’ Jokes This Year?

Dear community,
were there any good April Fools’ jokes and time for crafting today on April 1?

Nothing to report at the moment, but:
I can still remember two great April Fools’ pranks that were launched back then—it must have been in the late ’70s in Munich—by the local Abendzeitung… The Abendzeitung, of course, had the opportunity to write a completely serious article…with fake photos ;)

Number one:
The newspaper reported on a world first: beer in tea bags… You simply dip this beer tea bag into water, and voilà—you have a fresh beer. Of course, they showed photos of what that might look like….
The whole thing was presented on April 1st at a pub on Marienplatz. A huge crowd turned out to try the new way to enjoy beer!

Number two:
Back in the 1970s, the Munich S-Bahn actually did have first-class and second-class sections… The Abendzeitung reported that they were considering serving food and drinks in first class… at set tables… with waiters!
Here, too, a photo was staged to show what it might look like once it was all set up…. The premiere was supposed to take place on April 1 at Marienplatz… so a first test train pulled into the Marienplatz station, and a huge crowd was waiting on the platform… only to be quite surprised that the train looked completely normal…😉

A store that sells bread mixes sent out an ad today featuring bright blue “Smurf bread,” made entirely from natural ingredients, with the blue color coming from spirulina. It looked really good in the photo—I almost ordered some right away. :-)
