Dear authors,
please take a look at the images below (blankets, flowers, amigurumi bunnies, etc.). They look beautiful and, to many viewers, deceptively real—but as you may have already guessed: None of these works actually exist. They are all 100% generated by AI.
To be completely honest: Even today, in our day-to-day work, it’s already nearly impossible for our team to distinguish such high-quality AI images from real photos at first glance.
This brings us to a very important point about how we’ll work together in the future: We must—and want to—work together largely on the basis of trust. Our shared top priority must always be:
We do not want to mislead our customers.
There’s hardly anything more frustrating for buyers than investing a lot of time, money, and passion into yarn and a pattern, only to discover in the end that the artificially generated preview image is technically and physically impossible to achieve in reality. Under no circumstances should we drive customers to frustration with such artificial images. This leads to anger, bad reviews, and ultimately damages trust in the entire platform and in you as authors.
We’re appealing here first and foremost to common sense and to your conscientious responsibility toward customers. Show genuine results of your work so that the joy of recreating the project remains intact.
The basic rule is this: Post-processing your photos to adjust exposure, scenery, or the background is generally perfectly fine. However, it is crucial that
the product depicted itself is 100% true to reality and can be reproduced exactly as it appears in the image.
Let’s continue to be a platform where honesty and genuine craftsmanship take center stage.
Thank you very much for your understanding and your great work! 🍀
Warm regards,
Your Crazypatterns Team
