How are you kicking off March?

Dear Community,
Do you have any exciting new projects in the works? 

A friend asked me to make her a crocheted bag; she picked out the yarn, and I’m figuring out the rest. It’s going pretty well so far, but I had to reorder some yarn—I didn’t quite have enough—so I’m taking a little break right now.

I fired up my sewing machine again today and sewed a sailor suit for my Sebastian off the top of my head. I used the embroidery machine to make the stripes on the bib.

Two more new patterns... ;) 

I’m making little decorations for my Easter bouquet—sewn from old tablecloths. I have so many in my stash with stains I can’t get out anymore, no matter how much I wash them.

It’s really fun working with the new granny patterns ;) 

Wow, you two Petras, the patterns of the granny squares look really great! So creative! And I really like the Easter decorations, too! 😃

I’m currently working on a merino wool sweater with a Norwegian pattern for my husband. There’s a chance it’ll be finished by fall—I hope. 😅

I also ordered a large box of individual skeins of yarn from a specific brand on sale so I can make gauge swatches for all of the yarns and have more options when deciding which yarn is best for a project. Our local yarn shop has a very limited selection, and I’ve often been unable to find anything suitable there, so I’m taking a more systematic approach now. The first gauge swatches look very promising.

I’ve got a new craft project that I really enjoy doing:
Wind chimes – SUN CATCHERS

Wire – crocheted around, wrapped, and decorated with glue ;) 

I’m currently practicing the border for my stove cover. Since I want it to turn out perfectly, I’ve been practicing on a mug rug.

I’m not quite satisfied with the result yet. 



The border is too narrow, which made it difficult to get the corners to look nice. 



I stitched the hearts and chose a color that’s too bold for the front.

So I’ll keep practicing.
