Since I need to think a bit about my little blanket

I needed a little sense of achievement yesterday for some happy feelings.

Upcycling a tablecloth—a heart and a bunny were quickly sewn

The heart and bunny look really cute! That’s a great idea—I think I still have an old embroidered tablecloth, too.

I’m continuing to work on my seashell wreath.

Each shell gets outlined with backstitches, and some also have highlights within the design. Backstitches aren’t exactly my favorite… I also still need to (re)decide on the color scheme. In the sketch, it looks great at first when I outline the light-colored shells with white. But once it’s embroidered, it looks different. Here, on the shell in the top left, the white outline is already stitched. Can you see it? Nope. It doesn’t stand out at all. So, I’ll just rip it out and try a different color. To make matters worse, the daylight hasn’t been very bright these past few days. The snow, which had bathed everything in such beautiful, bright, and diffused light, has almost melted, and it’s cold, wet, and uniformly muted gray again.

You’re creating some really beautiful projects with your embroidery needles and sewing machines. Hearts and bunnies are now adorned with lovely embroidered rose motifs—it looks wonderfully nostalgic and playful.

The seashell wreath is sure to turn out gorgeous, too. Everything takes time: the perfect color selection and the subtle nuances are what make it so expressive in the end.

I’m knitting socks for my brother. Since I haven’t knitted any in years, I had to get back into the swing of things first. They have a comfortable horseshoe heel and a band toe.
Best regards, Ina

I’m currently using up my leftover yarn to make little hats, socks, and mittens for a premature infant unit.

I sewed another heart

But there’s still plenty of fabric left—maybe a little bunny is next?

And today, I finished a UFO on a whim

I’ve been doing some papier-mâché again—using toilet paper and paste
I needed a Black Lady to photograph my many new hats
and I don’t think store-bought heads look that nice

The preparation

after a few layers and a lot of shaping

After more layers + paint

It took a few days
...but definitely prettier than store-bought heads :)
Best regards

I’m currently knitting a pair of pants for my Sebastian—one leg is already done :-) Once they’re finished, I’ll make a sweater to go with them, and then I want to sew some underwear, a few clothes, and bedding for the new cribs—I already have the fabric for those.

Wow, Veronika, your monster even glows in the dark. Awesome

Petra Perle, your papier-mâché head is amazing; it looks so great. Did you use regular paints and then varnish it? I can’t get enough of it. What kind of craft glue did you use?

everyone else, your work is truly outstanding—knitted, embroidered... amazing

Veronika, that monster looks amazing. In daylight (at least in the photos), you can’t even tell that the yarn is special.

Will it be a gift? It would be a wonderful surprise if the little guy suddenly glows at night.

Petra Perle - your figure is amazing. A real talent. I definitely wouldn’t have the inspiration or patience for a piece like that.

Super great for your models.

The monster is moving in with a friend’s granddaughter. She has a loft bed, but she still thinks there are monsters under it at night. We were able to convince her that monsters prefer to live alone, and once one is already living there, no other monsters will move in. Let’s see if it works.

I was sewing again yesterday.

In my fabric stash, I have a few table centerpieces from household clear-outs. They have stains that I can’t get out, even with stain remover. So right now, I’m making little hanging decorations for Easter gifts or for an Easter bouquet.

I might sew an Easter bunny out of the fabric with the big floral pattern. We’ll see.

Veronika...it’s just a craft project!...it’s all a matter of practice, of course...but it gets better with every try...in fact, I’ve even put together a pattern if you’d like to give it a try...
Best regards

I’m currently working on a cardigan made from 2 Bobbel Cookie yarn by Järbo in the color Candy. The Sunbird Grannys were quick to crochet; now it’s time to assemble them and work on the edging. For that, I’m using Kindfeather in color 19 by Hobbii.

Following this pattern, which is really well written, I worked on it this week—for myself and to give as gifts. One has already been given away, and the joy was great.
And I also made potholders with a bobble pattern from leftover sock yarn.

Hi there, I only have the time and peace and quiet to crochet in the evenings. I’m an advanced beginner and am currently working on this triangular shawl. It’s my first shawl. The pattern is by Donna Bavarese. She explains how it works wonderfully on YouTube. The yarn is from Mega Bobbel, color: Unicorn (B28), 3-ply, 1500m.
I’m curious to see how big it’ll turn out.
The photo didn’t turn out very well because it was taken in the evening, and the spotlights distort the color.
Best, Gabbi

I finished a reading pillow yesterday. I sewed it for my son-in-law’s aunt at her request.

It’s a great idea to knit some premature baby clothes again...
I’m currently crocheting a little dog... and later I’ll start on a new proud rooster (pattern by CP) since mine has moved away and I need a new one :0)
