Spinning Wool

Dear Community,
if I remember correctly, some of you wanted to try spinning? Did you have any success with it?

Yes, that used to be a dream of mine... In 2015, I took a class.

I really enjoyed it, but unfortunately I didn’t have the time for a new hobby. 







I would have chosen this spinning wheel if...



Now I’ve been home for almost 7 months, and I still can’t imagine having time for a new hobby. 

 

I’ve given it a try, and it’s a lot of fun.
I own a spindle, and for a while I also had a spinning wheel that I bought through classified ads so I could try that technique too.
As Wollwunder Petra already mentioned, this hobby takes time—and that’s something I don’t have.
The spinning wheel had to move out again. The spindle is resting for now.
My knitting project is easier to work on on the side. 

I could imagine that if there were a spinning group nearby where you could also use spinning wheels, it would be more of an option for me to deepen my skills in this craft.
But spinning away on my own like this—I can do that even without wool...😂🙈
