Every year, I go to a garden center with my daughter, where she buys her Advent wreath.
This year, these two wreaths really caught my eye. I didn’t buy them, but I was allowed to take pictures of them.
I thought they were absolutely wonderful

My Advent wreath
And this is my nativity scene—one photo was taken with a flash, and the other was taken by my husband in the dark without a flash, using only the nativity scene’s internal lighting

Oh, Inge, I would have taken a closer look at that more than once, too. It’s so creative to make Advent wreaths with wool. The creative people of this world—who also have to sell their creations—just have to keep coming up with new ideas.
Your nativity scene is very beautiful and atmospheric, especially with the evening lighting.

That’s lovely too, dear Veronika. It really is an art to find a truly beautiful Advent wreath. And it seems you’ve taken a liking to that rich Christmas red this year. I’d already admired it as a decoration on your balcony.
When I have the time and feel like it, I make my own Advent wreath. I walk through my garden and my neighbor’s with a small pair of rose shears and cut various fir branches here and there. Small, short twigs are enough. I then insert them into a Velou floral arrangement holder that can be filled with water. You can assemble it into a round or elongated shape.
Then I add decorations from my stash and candles as I like. I wanted mine to be in green and red, and my daughter-in-law decorated her round wreath in gold.

I really like the other Advent wreaths and arrangements, too. I find Andrea’s especially creative, since there are so many crocheted items to discover.
