What do you like to use post double crochet for?

Hi everyone,

post double crochet is great for, say, the cuffs on crocheted pieces. It makes them sturdier and more elastic.

I like to use them on shawls. They create a nice contrast or just serve as a divider between two patterns.

Yesterday, there were two participants in my knitting group who were crocheting raglan sweaters using post double crochet.

I think they look really nice, but I don’t really like crocheting with them.

I love post double crochet, especially in winter, for hats, scarves, or headbands, because it’s perfect for creating wonderful patterns:

When I want to create a look with lots of texture, I always choose post double crochets. The hand position is a little different than when crocheting other stitches. Whether you’re working post double crochets from the front or the back, you automatically move the work into the right position so you can insert the hook more easily.
